How to:Know Your skin type

As far as i know there are 5 skin types in existence:

Each skintype deserves different skin cares, and often reacts differently on some skin care products.that is why cosmetics companies markets different products specifically for that skin type only...i have oily skin so most of the products i use are oil free and non comodogenic.
It has a fine even texture with a supple and smooth surface. It has a proper balance between oil and moisture contents and is therefore moist and neither greasy nor dry. The pores of normal skin are small and the overall skin tone is even. It looks clear and does not develop spots and blemishes. The pores of the skin are fine and barely visible. It reflects good health and needs gentle treatment.
This type of skin has a fine texture and is very sensitive to changes in the climate. They show the disadvantage of bleaching, Waxing, threading, perfumes, temperature extremes, soap etc and for men sun, perfumes, shaving cream etc. Avoid products with dyes, perfumes, or unnecessary chemical ingredients that may irritate skin sensitive skin reacts easily to some makeups ingredients
way to prevent this is by using non comodogenic, mineral makeup, talc free, organic makeups imho.
Dry skin has a dry parched appearance and has a tendency to flake easily. It is prone to wrinkles and lines. It is due to the inability to retain moisture as well as the insufficient production of sebum by the sebaceous gland, skin is short of both moisture and sebum. It appears transparent, patchy, fragile, and fine textured. The skin chaps and flakes easily compared to other types of skin. Tiny “expression lines” may be clear. Pores are extremely fine, and feel tight after washes.

A combination skin type combines three types of skin, the normal skin, dry skin, and the oily skin. The skin is normal yet has several dry or oily is a combination of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily and the rest dry. Usually there is a Central greasy panel consisting of the forehead, nose and chin and a dry panel consisting of cheeks and the areas around the eyes and mouth. The greasy area is referred to as T - Zone. In such cases, each part of the face should be treated accordingly
oily skin is slightly to moderately greasy. This type of skin is caused by the over secretion of sebum making the skin surface oily. The excess oil on the surface of the skin attracts dirt and dust from the environment. Oily skin is also prone to black heads, white heads, spots, pimples and such skin will never be clear, this type of skin needs special care, either for maintenance(like mine) or cure for the impurities.

A test to determine your skin type:after washing wait for 10-15 mins get a tissue paper blot/wipe your face and see if your face felt tight, flaky and dry after then you have dry skin,if the paper came out oily on all places you have oily skin,if the paper came to our oily on some areas and flaky on others you have combination skin..

i do not claim to be a pro when it comes to skin but this is just to share you some facts that i know through research and experience. have a nice day xoxo

oh and btw, I have short lashes..I'm thinking of getting eyelash extension...would you recommend it or it would still be better to just use eyelash curler and mascara? thanks dear ;)

coline-well if u ask my opinion i dont like getting extensions, cause when a friend of mine tried it,she was adviced never to rub her eyes, she cant apply eyeliner and the maintenance is quite bothersome for her....there's tons of mascara that gives length and volume plus you can never go wrong with false eyelashes..but if you fancy eyelash extension, just give it a try maybe you'll like it.
